Sadhu Sundar Singh made a profound impact on my life. Rev.Joseph Masih
General Secretary, Sadhu Sundar Singh Global Forum
Sadhu Sundar Singh contributions to Christianity include his unique approach to evangelism, which blended Christian teachings with Indian spiritual traditions, making the message of Christ accessible to Indians. He emphasized a personal relationship with Jesus and presented Christianity in a way that resonated with Indian culture. Sundar Singh also undertook perilous journeys into Tibet, enduring hardship and imprisonment to share the Gospel.
He dressed like an Indian sadhu, walked the streets of Indian villages and preached a Christ that they found it easy to relate with. In a context dominated by Western theology and mission methods the Sadhu was successful in offering an alternative that the world could not but take note. His life and message still remains relevant in every missional and ecclesial context. Any effort to perpetuate the memory of the Sadhu and his gospel methodology is therefore worth pursuing. The webpage dedicated to Sadhu is in this context one of the most precious treasures that we should cherish so that his life snapshots could be handed over to new generations as a model worth emulating.
